About Us...

Matthew

Matthew manages Boka, a fantasic restaurant in Chicago.  Their chef, Giuseppe Tentori, was voted Food and Wine's Best New Chef in 2008!  Th food is a-mazing, so if any of you are ever looking for a great new restaurant to try in Chicago, I definitely recommend it!  Matthew's obvious passions are wine and food.  He enjoys playing gofl and paintball (which I am still trying to understand...:-))

Adrianna

Adrianna works as an Application Engineer at MasterGraphics, a company that sells, trains, and supports Autodesk software.  I use my engineering expertise to work with engineers to improve their processes by using Revit Structure and Revit MEP.  I absolutely adore my job!  When I am not working, I enjoy cooking and baking, find new recipes and tweaking them...and, as you can tell in the pictures, I love wine!

Our Story...

Matthew and I met while we both worked at a resaurant together.  At first, we did not like each other AT ALL!  But, as we spent time together at work and with our friends outside of work...and things changed.  After a few years of dating, we moved in together, and things have been wonderful ever since :-)

The Proposal

Matthew and I talked a lot about getting married, and we even went looking at rings, so I knew it was going to happen, just not when.  This January, we were going to a wedding in California, then out to wine country, so I thought it might happen on our vacation...however, on Christmas Eve, we had a small get together, then went to midnight mass, then everyone came back over to continue having some fun.  At around 2 in the morning, I was definitely tired, so we ended our party.  Matthew and I kept talking next to the Christmas tree about our relationship, how great everything was between us, and the future...after a while, he told me he was going to be right back, and for me not to go anywhere (where would I go? :-))...he came back and told me I should probably sit down...so I pulled up a chair next to Christmas tree and sat down...

Being the silly girl I am, I actually asked him, "Are you going to do it?"...he responded, "Do what?"...to which I responded, "You know...IT"...he just told me to sit down...he got down on one knee, and, to be honest, I have no idea what he said...but when he pulled out the ring I stood up, sat down, cried, laughed, and finally got the word Yes out...in the end, I found out he was going to do it the next morning, but the timing just seemed so perfect that night that he just ran with the moment...we have been crazy happy ever since :-)
